While you read Listen to the Ringling5 “How Great thou Art”

“How can I be of service?” asks the clerk, waiter or waitress, Bluntly, you wonder, “What can I do for you?”
All quite legitimate – What can I do for you? How can I be of service? I don’t look like much of an expert
but I am a quick study, and I could not be licensed as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), MT License No. 1254,unless I knew something. One of my favorite teachers said “Alan, I can’t teach you all you need to know for life ahead information is changing too fast, but I can teach you to learn how to learn!” It was sage advice.
I can now give free online Christian counseling to rural clergy in Montana. Old dogs can learn new tricks.
No birds and bees story here:
I was born in Oregon raised in Idaho, Pennsylvania, Montana and Alaska. I am well-traveled, before 18 I’d been to 46 of the 50 states Canada and Mexico, Dad loved to travel.
I went to High School in Montana and Alaska college in Nebraska, BA in Social Science and Secondary Education (American History my passion) I went to Seminary and received a Master’s of Divinity (MDiv) I also hold a Masters of Science in Education (MSE) Specializing in Human Services Counseling.

In addition to my work experiences, to put myself through college and seminary, I have been: a dishwasher/busboy, janitor, maintenance man, forest fire fighter, carpenter, farm-tire service man, data entry clerk, and mechanic.
I am a combat veteran of two campaigns(wars); Operation Just Cause (Panama) and Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm (1st Gulf War) I could give you all my military citations but for those outside the Army only the Bronze Star will ring any bells. I can agree with Winston Churchill who observed, “There is nothing so exhilarating as being shot at, and missed!” I am a survivor.
Disabled by a stroke in January of 2009 by the grace of God I am still here. I suffer from PTSD
The pastor in me still wants to preach and teach and counsel; hence the Gospel of Barney,Inc.!
